In the spring of 2020, as the world braced for uncertainty, BingleJoy made a decision that would redefine her life and career. She packed her bags, leaving the serene shores of Guam—the only home she had ever known—for the vibrant, unpredictable landscape of Las Vegas. It was a leap of faith, a conscious trade of 'paradise for a pair of dice,' as she reflects, a bold move to bet on herself and build something entirely new.

A New Chapter in the Desert

The move to Las Vegas was not random but a strategic, albeit daring, choice. BingleJoy sought change, an opportunity to grow her vision outside familiar territory. The timing, amidst a global lockdown, offered unexpected advantages: ease of travel, no extra luggage fees, and wide-open aisles. Landing in the desert, she was without a job, relying solely on faith and a prayer for a career in real estate or the medical field. Her prayers were answered swiftly; within a month, she secured a Marketing Manager role at a real estate firm, a position she cherished for its supportive environment and fulfilling work. “I was living in an answered prayer with the dream role that came with the biggest blessings,” she recalls of that period.

The Pivot to Purpose

Four years into her role, another defining moment arrived. The volatile nature of real estate led to an unexpected layoff, leaving BingleJoy at a crossroads. Half of her was surprised, but the other half felt a surge of excitement. The decision was clear: she could either update her resume or fully commit to photography, a passion she had nurtured as a side hustle for years. She chose the latter, pouring her accumulated skills and experiences into building her own business, Muse in Motion. This pivot wasn't without its fears, particularly the prospect of sacrificing a steady income. Growing up, creative entrepreneurship was often seen as less viable, fostering a scarcity mindset. “The scariest thing was leaving behind a steady income, and believing you can provide for yourself solely off of your God-given talents,” she admits. However, the current economic climate and widespread layoffs reinforced her belief: why not risk it doing something she truly loves?

Embracing the Uncomfortable

Venturing into the entrepreneurial world has unveiled a new version of BingleJoy. She once daydreamed about traveling for work; now, it’s a reality. This journey has introduced her to diverse people and places, pushing her beyond her comfort zone and cultivating resilience. She has learned that not every client is for her, and that's perfectly fine. “You learn that you're not meant to serve everyone. You're meant to serve people who see the value you bring,” she states, a testament to her evolving business philosophy. The path of creative entrepreneurship is undoubtedly challenging, yet she prefers to navigate its uncertainties than to live with the regret of not trying.

Community and Connection

Upon arriving in Las Vegas, BingleJoy had no existing network, forcing her to build connections from scratch. Her mantra, that being good to people attracts good people, proved true. She found inspiration and collaboration in her Create Well co-hosts, Sunshine and Monica, with whom she runs a creative community and podcast. This collective has been instrumental in nurturing her creative wellness and providing a thriving environment for her photography. This community has opened doors and possibilities she never could have imagined alone, showcasing the power of genuine connection in a new city.

Stepping Into the Next Chapter

BingleJoy is now building Muse in Motion into a brand synonymous with transformation. Her personal journey—from a shy individual to a confident visual storyteller—informs her mission. She found her power first behind the lens, then in front of it, and now helps others discover their own. The most rewarding part of her work is witnessing clients move from hesitation to confidence during a shoot, a shift she intimately understands. Looking ahead, she aims to scale this impact, working with more entrepreneurs and brands during pivotal transitions, visually documenting their stories with the same boldness they embody. Her long-term vision is for Muse in Motion to be recognized not just for its stunning photography, but for the profound transformation it facilitates. “Because we'll never be as young as we are right now, and I want to keep helping people show up as who they are today, not who they're waiting to become,” she concludes, embodying the essence of living fully in the present moment.
