"Those experiencing homelessness need more than food—they need compassion, dignity, encouragement, clothes, hospital bills for the sick and to be seen as human," he emphasizes. He recalls a poignant encounter with a man who, after receiving a meal, expressed profound gratitude, tears in his eyes, feeling "seen." These moments underscore Appiah's belief that his work is fundamentally about restoring hope and reaffirming human worth.
